Billy Graham: It’s a Sin to Criticize Your Pastor
Responding to a question sent by an employee of a civic organization, evangelist Billy Graham acknowledges that while no pastor is perfect, it’s “wrong, and a sin in the eyes of God” for Christians to criticize their pastors.
“Why do some people seem to enjoy criticizing their pastor?” reads the question sent to the 96-year-old evangelist, according to the website of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, now headed by his son, the Rev. Franklin Graham.
Website Comment: Dear Reverend Graham. We as humans reserve the right to question our Leaders at will. We also criticize your right to criticize our right to criticize you or any other Pastor at will. There is a difference between mans laws or Gods laws and thereby you lead a flock, you may be criticized, you will be judged. You yourself have set that standard, live by it; Pastor.
As a Human; you are one of the greatest revered speakers known to mankind and respectfully, as you pass-along your ministry to your great Son, lets not mess that up by getting your feet into the retched filth some people refer to as “religion” today. Leave that to the changed souls still standing before their flock. You are a leader; when did you become, the follower?
Prayer in private results in boldness in public.
